My Thoughts

It has been a long time that I did not update my blog..   Lately, I have been listening a lot of Chinese music..  I guess I am bored with all the western music that I have been listening lately so I need to readjust my taste a bit.

Here we go, I snapshot the lyrics of Jay Chou music that I found it on the net, all the credits are going to Ling and cs_omigosh from Jay-Chou.net forum.   Let’s sing it together, only if you want to

Translation notes:
*崖 is romanized as yai, but it is pronounced more as ya
**Even though "琴 (qin)“is a generic term for many string instruments, "zither" will be most accurate for this context as the song is set in olden days China (as in the MV).

Okay, here we are again, out of my boreness I am posting my thoughts once again.  The series of chain of events that happen to me on 2006 and make me who I am today.

The good highlights:

• Got more involved on more exciting projects on the company and got pay raise based on my achievement
• Being hooked up with Oracle, wanted to learn everything about this technology
• Found somebody that could bring the best of me
• Finally, long vacation, going out with a gang of four to Florida until my legs broke and too tired, but it was a hell of fun
• More involved on Church activities, we had two major fund raising, one was on Botanical Garden for Earthquake victims, and Tsunami Gala Dinner joined project with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Old Lady of Assumption Youth Group. I rediscovered my passion making video documentary to support this event.
• Thanksgiving Holiday on North Carolina.  Visited my sister at North Carolina, and then went to Duke University, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Travelled RTP (Research Triangle Park) in one day. Tasted one of the best Southern style BBQ at Bullock BBQ.  Gotta try it again sometime.
• Being a best man for my friends W and V wedding.   
• Profited from Pixar, thanks for the merger Disney!

The bad highlights:

• I worked too much and spent more than eight hours a day to catch a deadline project
• My car heater broke down and it was a hell of freezing here
• I got accident on rainy day and the driver that hit me run away.  But I am glad that I am still intact and well 
• I got flat tire and too bad, my spare tire was also flat. Everyone on my complex seems did not have time to help me.  Gotta rolling that tire out of my complex to the tire shop across the street
• Learnt what it means to love and to be loved again but in hard way
• Learnt to not trust somebody 100% in hard way

Sometimes we feel that reality is not on our side.  Let us face it
that sometimes we have a strong feeling about one thing for a first
time in our life but reality throws you back to square one.  Make we
wonder what is our purpose in this life. 

When happiness becomes a double edge sword because we are trying to
satisfy everyone but end up hurting ourself or trying to satisfy ourself but
end up hurting everyone. 

When things are beyond our control, we realize that everything must
happen for a reason.  We believe that ‘God’ has bigger plan for us that
we could not see this time.   But it is hard to accept the things that
are beyond our control.  The thing that you call fate, destiny, or
whatsoever. 

We are trying to regain our sanity by kept saying ‘Positive thinking, and moving on’.   It is so easy to say but hard to do so.
